As a textile expert and a graduate from NIFT, with over nine years of teaching experience, my journey has been deeply intertwined with both the academic and industry aspects of textiles. My expertise, coupled with my passion for traditional and contemporary textile crafts, naturally draws me to institutions that emphasize craft studies. IICD, with its strong focus on textile craft, resonates with my professional interests and values. The institution’s commitment to promoting traditional craft practices aligns with my belief in preserving and evolving India’s rich textile heritage. Having worked in education for several years, including roles at UID Karnavati University and Pearl Academy, I am eager to bring my teaching expertise and industry experience to a place where craft is at the heart of the curriculum. I see IICD as a platform where I can not only contribute my knowledge but also collaborate with artisans and students to further enrich the discourse around textile crafts. The opportunity to be a part of IICD’s ecosystem would allow me to blend my academic background, professional expertise, and passion for craft into a fulfilling and meaningful role.
