Indrajit Bose is an interior architect with almost 30 years of experience. He graduated from the National Institute of Design (NID) in Ahmedabad with a specialization in industrial design/furniture design. His portfolio includes a diverse range of projects, spanning premium hospitality, retail, commercial, and residential sectors. His work is at the intersection of user experience, innovation, and technology. Notable projects include iconic restaurant chains Peshawri and Kebabs &Kurries for ITC Hotels Limited, The Design Center for Malviya National Institute of Technology, Jaipur, and the International Horticulture Innovation & Training Centre, Jaipur.
Indrajit has extensive experience collaborating with leading international design houses, such as HBA, Wilson Associates, Hayon Studio, Super Potato, and Stickman Design. His work involves design, product detailing, implementation, quality control, design intent, and design management. He recognizes the skills and contributions of craftspeople, and his work emphasizes appropriate technology, environmental sensitivity, and sustainability.
He finds working with and mentoring the next generation to be both challenging and stimulating. He believes that bridging the gap between college curriculum and industry requirements is essential, and his long association with the Indian Institute of Crafts and Design (IICD) has been to this end.
