IICD Admission Process for UCEED/CEED/NIFT/NID Qualified Candidates
This notification serves as a continuation of the Admission Announcement published in The Times of India on April 22, 2024, and The Economic Times on April 23, 2024. The following amendments are hereby notified for candidates seeking admission to the Indian Institute of Crafts and Design (IICD) through the UCEED, CEED, NIFT, or NID entrance exams.
Candidates meeting the conditions outlined below are eligible to directly participate in the
Personal Interview (via WhatsApp), bypassing the initial round of the selection process:
1. Eligibility Based on UCEED/CEED/NIFT/NID Qualification
- Candidates must hold a valid selection letter from UCEED, CEED, NIFT, or NID, indicating their qualification in the respective entrance examination.
- Eligible candidates will be exempted from the first round of selection and will directly proceed to the second round, i.e., the Personal Interview.
2. Qualifying Examination Requirement
- Candidates must have successfully completed the qualifying examination (Class 12th for undergraduate programs or Graduation for
postgraduate programs) as per the eligibility criteria detailed on the IICD website under the Admission Guidelines section.
Steps to Apply for IICD Admissions
1. Online Registration
- All candidates seeking admission to the B.Des/M.Des in Crafts and Design programs at IICD must register online through the official IICD website.
2. Submission of Selection Letter
- Upon registration, applicants must upload their valid selection letter from UCEED, CEED, NIFT, or NID via the designated link provided on the portal.
- A confirmation email will be sent to the registered email address upon successful submission.
3. Personal Interview Details
- The Personal Interview (via WhatsApp) will be conducted as per the schedule announced on the IICD website.
- The exact date and time of the interview will be communicated to applicants via their registered email address.
