IICD Orientation Program 2024
Orientation Programs are essential for setting the tone for the college experience and providing a solid foundation for academic and social life on campus in IICD. The program commenced on 29th July with registration of UG & PG students. On a pleasant monsoon morning of 30th July, the students were welcomed on campus with tika and a welcome kit. The freshers began the auspicious journey of learning and knowledge with an invocation for blessings of Lord Ganesha. They were introduced to the faculty and administration and each department followed by a campus tour, interactions with alumni, placements & clubs. On the 31st of July & 1st of August the students were engaged in intense ice breaking sessions with theatre personality Mr. Neeraj Kadela. The experience was immersive for the newcomers to help students meet their peers and start building friendships. 2nd of August the students were introduced to hands-on experience through departmental workshops at the Fired Material lab exploring terracotta texture development and Print lab on block printing. Students experienced the rich heritage of the pink city by visiting the spectacular Amer Fort and Albert Hall on the 3rd of August.
