The Knowledge Resource Centre (KRC) comprises of a library
and a craft resource centre.
The Institute
library is fully digitized and well stocked with books
and crafts & design publications. It has comprehensive
collection of books on crafts, design, art, management,
technology, economics, social sciences, international
trends and other subjects relevant to the craft and design
sector.
IICD subscribe to all major national and international
magazines and journals on craft and design.
It has inn its collection
documents of student projects, project reports, craft
documentation developed through primary research by the
Institute. The library also has a collection of audiovisual
material, which includes cassettes, CD, DVDs of the institutional
work as well as those collected from outside on various
subjects.
IICD resource centre has an exclusive collection of craft
products in textiles, apparels, wood, ceramic, metal,
terracotta, enameling, etc. These traditional crafts items
are a rich source of knowledge and provide an in-depth
understanding about various crafts their characteristics,
techniques, designs, decorative elements, cultural context,
etc.
